In our experience, we think you will enjoy this specific tour if you are a cyclist with good bike handling skills, ability to accomplish multiple climbs of moderate grade (6-7%), the fitness to be on the bicycle for 4-5 hours a day, and the ability to ride safely with other cyclists in a line.
From Stresa in the north, we’ll cycle the lake and surrounding mountains. Then we’ll move south to explore Langhe and the Roero hills. Extended time in two locations guarantee experiences in the Alps, lakes, vineyards, and villas that make Piedmont cycling exceptional.
The Slow Food movement began here, and its emphasis on fresh and local food sets world standards. Italy, France, and Switzerland share the region, the food is influenced by all three cultures. Your pasta will be handmade, your truffles fresh from the forest, your Carrù beef outstanding, and, and the pastry melts in your mouth.

Perched lakeside, Hotel La Palma offers spectacular views from the Sky Bar and easy exploration of Stresa and Maggiore’s wonders, including Isola Bella and Isola Pescatori. Carefully designed in a 7 hectare hilltop park, Villa D’Amelia connects visitors to the unique and relaxing landscape of the Langhe region.
Today is the day of arrival in Stresa, an elegant town on the shores of Lake Maggiore. After check-in, there will be a welcome aperitif to get to know the group and soak in the lake’s atmosphere.

The first ride takes us up the famous Monte Mottarone: 19 km of cycling to reach 1,492 m of altitude, with spectacular views.
A long descent brings us to the picturesque town of Orta San Giulio, on the shores of Lake Orta.
The return to the hotel is easy, perfect for recovering energy.
We will tackle the Monte Ologno climb, famous for being part of the 2015 Giro d’Italia. The effort will be rewarded with breathtaking views over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding valley.
We reach Asti by van, where we begin cycling through the gentle hills of the Langhe.A rolling route leads us to the second stop of the trip, Relais Villa d’Amelia.
A ride through the heart of the Langhe and Roero, among vineyard-covered hills and spectacular panoramas. We pass through La Morra and Barolo, with perfect spots for photos.
The highlight of the trip: the Colle delle Finestre, an iconic climb featured in the 2024 Giro d’Italia.
19 km of ascent, with the last 8 km on gravel roads, reaching 2,197 m of altitude. An epic experience for those who love a challenge!

Our guides are experienced, highly skilled cyclists, excited to share what they love about their home. They know the roads and take care of you, so you can look at the Piedmonte instead of your computer. Our guides speak English as well as other languages such as Spanish.
We’ve researched the Piedmonte, cycled the routes, and consulted with the region’s food and wine leaders to find you the best, most esteemed experiences possible. We are an Italian family with decades of experience with cyclists and their non-cycling companions.
Since Fausto Pinarello provided 4 bicycles for our cycling tours twenty years ago, our annual fleet has grown to over 80 top-of the line Dogmas. Our fleet bicycles are new each year, and are maintained by our professional mechanics to ensure you a comfortable, high performance ride, included in your package.
Ride care-free, knowing that our mechanic and van is ready to help whenever necessary. Our van is fully stocked and ready to provide an option if you need a rest. Bikes are cared for each night, and your cycling kit is laundered each evening.

We are not a foreign agency that sells trips and outsources the management of clients to third parties. Nor are we just independent cyclists, who operate without any controls or policies. You care about your vacation and we care about you. Nicola, Davide, Elisa or Alberto are always present in person with our staff at every event.
We are a certified tour operator, with all the official documentation. We are Italians and our headquarters are in italy.
We include with all our tours insurance for cancellation, assistance, medical expense, reimbursement, lost luggage. Not all tour operators include this service.
Most of our trips will run when between 3–4 people are booked. We have never cancelled a trip due to low numbers. However, there is no guarantee of this in the future. If we cancel a trip, we will give you full credit to be applied to any other one of our trips within 2 years.
